Marva & Reginald grew up in the Catholic faith, so from the very start, a church ceremony was a must. Marva also was set on a Marie Antoinette/Persian Theme with colors of raspberry/orchid/a hint of pink and Reginald in a live blue jacket. Marva wanted pretty flowers of orchids, roses, peonies and as many more as her eyes could widen.
On the day of their magnificent wedding, it was nothing less than elegant, with Marva in an “Essence of Australia” dress and driven to the church in a Rolls Royce with her mom, while Reginald and the fellas rode high in an Escalade. The ceremony was now in order, and it was cascaded by the afternoon sun that met the couple in the church with their heads bowed in prayer to begin their lives together, with blessings.
It was a beautiful Haitian affair with delicious food and great music at the cocktail hour and reception, as the steal drummers and musicians pitched the banquet hall with percussion vibes that brought everyone’s hip and feet to life, “por favor,” by Carimi.
UR Event by Shaune began planning with an initial consultation in 2018. The leg work started in Spring 2019 to secure a venue and vendors for a wedding scheduled for August 2020. But like many, we had to postpone because of the pandemic. However, the careful research, planning, management of timelines, and putting out fires, resulted in Marva and Reginald now living their forever after as husband and wife.
